MOMENTS OF PURE GRACE

How to describe this double album? It is no doubt that Clapton has recorded more beautiful, it is undoubtedly one of the finest albums of this musical period, and from all musical periods!
Each song is almost perfect. There for almost all genres, although it remains in a dominant british blues, country-rock-folk. Clapton told that a day was beginning with a pool in the morning, resting, sunbathing, and a nice lunch, and then some "pills" and other substances before returning to the studio in the afternoon. And that gives the securities of a simplicity to cry like "I Looked Away," "Bell Bottom Blues", intense and feverish titles "Keep on growing," "Anyday" with duel raging guitars, hardcore blues "Key to the Highway", "Have you ever love a woman?" And of course, even more sumptuous two titles (but how do you sort through all this masterpiece?) resumed Hendrix "Little Wings" and "Layla", the guitar riff created by Duane Allman remains one of the finest in the history of rock.
Under the name of "Derek" hides course Clapton himself (sinking deeper into each depression), but also his friend Duane Allman, Allman's Brother immense musician, less famous, came lent a hand to new group. This will be their only studio album, a first attempt, a master stroke. These musicians have been for a few days as affected by grace. It is an amazement of all times. Getting to this level of perfection here, it's called genius! There is a live, recorded at the Fillmore, without Allman, but with Clapton who excels in securities lengthened from 15 to 25 minutes!
