My Experiences:
Had my smartphone (HTC ONE mini) for the first year 2 (!) Times need to send, every time I was at the first contact immediately responded (within one business day) and my mission to an external repair company forwarded.
But- !!
-According To the residence of the respective Reperationsdienstleister is different.
-I Had with RTS (based in Frankfurt) both negative and positive experiences.
Positives: -If impact damage fast repair within 2 weeks. Easy free shipping the unit.
Negative: the device weeks -Extremely unfriendly staff, poor service via email and phone and software damage (which was not immediately recognized as such) was just me without explanation after 5 returned unrepaired (!).

My unit has suffered a total loss in the water after a fall, now within 7 working days at the wheel was turned.
According to Ergo I get in the next 2 weeks a check (by mail). (80% of the purchase price I get refunded after 1 year, the insurance expires.)
Nevertheless, I would order the Insurance me anytime!
CONCLUSION:
Anyone looking for a cheap insurance, this is the place, but should be prepared for a few phone calls and "gray hair" in case of damage (depending on service provider).
