All is good but a little too classic. The book is built around the story of John Neff from childhood until his retirement in 1995. It is interesting enough to (re) discover half a century of US stock market and economic history.
Regarding the educational value of this book, I can say that for beginners it is probably because a lot of very interesting investment cases are discussed (albeit fairly basic way) and investment principles of John Neff are exposed very simply and clearly.
Nevertheless for business I do not find there have a lot of new lesson to learn. The book, however, has the merit to reflect on strategies and investment process which is used or which had been somewhat forgotten and that one learns to use.
In summary, this is a very affordable and very enjoyable book to read that has its place in any good library investor alongside classic Ben Graham and James Montier.
