* Dry shaving *
The operating noise of the Braun 799cc-7 Wet & Dry is indeed unmistakable, but not so loud that it would bother me.
The pivoting shaving head (SensoFlex) adapts, thanks to the independently movable shearing elements, the good face shape and slides pleasantly on the skin. It also tight-fitting hair using the OptiFoil- and Active Lift technology are well recognized.

The Braun 799cc-7 Wet & Dry is sealed against the ingress of moisture and can therefore also be used for wet shaving in the shower.
I wear after washing the face a little shaving on - thereby shaving more comfortable and the shaving head glides smoothly over your face. Excess foam and stubble I sink in between under the tap.
The result of the wet shave convinced me. The shaving is more thoroughly and my skin feels pleasantly refreshed.

** Cleaning station **
The Braun 799cc-7 Wet & Dry can be cleaned under running water - more comfortable and more thoroughly this is going but with the supplied cleaning station. Here comes a cleanser based on alcohol used, which is intended to ensure in each cleaning to eliminate 99.999% of all bacteria and germs. Depending on the degree of contamination, the station automatically selects one of three cleaning programs, which you still have to confirm by pressing the start button. Finally, the shaving head is heated by an inductive heating system and thus dried.
The cleaning result is so far perfectly - the shaving head is clean and smelling lemony fresh. However, it remains to be seen whether the cleaning effect wears off after prolonged use of the cartridge.

Of course you should also be a disadvantage of this cleaning system not mentioned: the cleaning fluid causes costs.
Braun recommends that you use the cleaning station after each shaving. With daily cleaning is a cartridge for 30 cleanings sufficient. Even if one uses the station much more rarely, one should replace the purification cartridge after 8 weeks. The liquid contains, for reasons of hygiene, ethanol evaporates over time. An optimal cleaning is then no longer guaranteed.
So you should be prepared to have to buy a new cleaning cartridge for about 5 every 8 weeks at the latest. Of course you can also clean the shaver only brush or clean under running water. However, since the cleaning station is part of the delivery and the manufacturer advertises the hygienic cleaning as a selling point, I will not fail to mention that here.
I prefer anyway the comfort of the cleaning station and like the pleasant feeling that you always use a hygienically clean the shaver.

Finally, I would like to mention two minor criticisms of the cleaning station:
The LEDs, which are to display the selected Reinigunsprogramm and the level of the cleaning cartridge, are very bright. A somewhat more subtle lighting would work here quality and not illuminate the entire bathroom. Since the cleaning / charging station but on 10 minutes after end of cleaning or charging in standby mode and the LEDs then go out, which falls not significant.
The power supply is carried out, unfortunately just not angled and. It is therefore far from the wall socket and the connection cable for the charging station depends unnecessary "in the air".
