Good part with little long-term grades

I made the headphones since about 6 months in daily use, above div. Experience with Sony, Panasonic and verschiednenen AKGs.
I bought you, because I am convinced of AKG sound and when to date coming AKG K518 used the Remote / Headset simply missing.

Features:
- Bassy coordination with clear highs
=> Super for all kinds of electronic and beat-heavy music
- Designed smallish
But => I do not have often noticed at AKG. At 57cm / 7 1/4 inch head circumference one is quite at the upper limit of the adjustment range
- Good maintenance
=> Initially almost too good, my ears hurt the first time when entering
- Sound isolation very well in everyday life
=> As mans needs, just about any outside noise to be screened on the important sounds (such as honking cars or cursing pedestrians etc;))
- Short cable with extension
=> Cable length optimally, but when using the extension functionality Remote falls away. Extension is thus not available for use as a headset

Pro:
- Really good sound (with AKG K518 verlgeichbar) in this price range, however, the standard should be
- Very comfortable earpads (quasi a bed for the ears)
- No other press or unpleasant striking elements on the bracket etc
- Good voice quality of the mics (tested in combination with iPhone 4S and PC)

Contraindications:
Make profuse sweating of the ears because the earpads CORRECT tight -
- Joints can only be rotated 90 degrees
= Fold> annoying when, because you can not properly protect the membrane / dampers
=> Leisure DJing not fully possible (Pad ear hold etc)
- Buttons on the remote can be difficult to "grope", because everything is just and planarized.
=> The nipple on the main button and the transitions to Min and Max is hard to feel wenns is colder.
- For the price poorly finished!
=> The bracket break in div. Bodies because of good metal core of plastic boards will not flush. After some time, sets a loud creaking when handling the headset. It will be exciting for the thinner parts like the extendable (size-controlling) part of the temple. On both sides are already significant cracks and small breaks to see would not be here the metal bracket outside the headphones would not already be useful.

Conclusion:
Beautiful headset really is still discreetly for the size, it delivers good sound. Super function through the remote when you get used to handling times. Here, then, is the epitome of AKG!
Unfortunately, however, not sustainable enough vberarbeitet bottom line to join the everyday when treating the thing just as a commodity and not as a luxury good.
=> Buy recommendation: Because, as the current price (about 100, -) offers many more choices.
Who can do without "the Headset with Remote" on should grab K518 AKG to peers, since the additional cost of about 50, - in the end makes no qualitative differences but only the headset covers.
