The reason for the new purchase:
The last time I used a Braun Series 7 of the first or second generation with cleaning station. This has already complained twice because replaced by the alcoholic cleaning solution of paint. Curiously, I felt like others who write here: After a year I moved the shaving head for the first time. After two years, for the second time.
But somehow grabs the Braun Series 7, the power is no longer that he should narrators. Subjectively felt I'd say the engine is weakening.
Including increasingly suffered shaving quality.
# Aufrund positive Rezis and good experience with its predecessor (in terms capacity and skin protection, mind you! Shortly after the warranty the display failed and the device did not load properly. The Kundenservive could not or would not want to comment, my request regarding . goodwill was never answered) I opted for the current Panasonic top model.
# First, the following aspects are to be emphasized positively:
- The device is handy, despite the large shaving head and fits comfortably in your hand
- The feel is good, the instrument (Made in Japan) and the cleaning station (Made in China) are well made
- Shaving is thoroughly (allerings several trains needed) and clean
- It is very fast
- Doses due to the beard sensor the unit's performance is good
- Compared to other devices like the Braun Series 7 heard this also, what one shaved, where so even hairs are present
- Shaving head heats up not practical
- Good cleaning station with good cleaning performance
- Very easy to clean cleaning station
- Detergent without alk (as opposed to the Series 7), which is a positive development, in my view
- Extremely quiet operation (Series 7 is noisier)
Unfortunately, there are lots of daylight and some shade:
Sure it's normal that the skin must first get used to new equipment. So I had expected skin reactions such as slight razor burn, redness, pimples, etc.. But regrettably remained and these reactions did not disappear even after several applications. The skin was stretched uncomfortably.
Therefore, I have decided to return the device.
It remains for me no choice but to return provisionally to Series 7 (with subjective power loss) and possibly think about, to test the new Braun Series 9.
Conclusion: In terms of performance and overlooking equipment and processing - as many beeschrieben - good device. But from my experience not suitable for more sensitive skin - and just the skin protection is indeed proven to be an important feature.
Edit 21/01/2015:
Now, the Series 7 has completely adopted. Ciao, Brown, it was both of us.
I bought the Panasonic ES_LF51-s with four blades. A brilliant device. Unlike the top product rezenzierten here at least tolerate my sensitive skin excellent shaving. An evaluation of the ES-LF51s follows on the product page.
