The light is LED typical cool-white, but no blue tinge. I like it.
The viewing angle is nearly 180 degrees (not 360 as Glühfadenbirnen).
I have the LEDs used as a substitute for indoor lighting in a VW Caddy.
Since the reduced viewing angle is not a problem, yes Weil should light only downward.
The LEDs could be replaced easily, it's in the housings enough space for the heat sink.
I appear the LEDs something not very much brighter than the original 10W filament festoon.
Enclosed two comparison photos with the same exposure, 1s F2.0.
The dimming function also goes, there will be something sudden dark than in the bulbs.
An LED absorbs about 180mA at 12V, about 1/4 of the 10W bulb (about 700mA).
Important: the LED must be "right side up" inserted into the socket.
So, if it was not lit up: Insert the LED again the other way around!
(The plus / minus pole is marked.)
I completely satisfied and I forgive 5 Stars.
