I have a MG2150, this cartridge combines all 3 color inks and print head in a single envelope.
This of course is not the most cost-effective technology, but that this printer series has only 2 cartridges I knew before buying.

I would certify the printer a decent print image, pictures are really good, etc. (with photo) color illustrations in texts also.
The ink cartridge keeps my mind surprisingly long, several hundred pages with some color text, every now and then a picture plus some photos and there is still ink left.

I would like to specify more objective data but color cartridges hold depending on usage greatly.
A test of a printer side with its sister model 3150 was up to 150 (10x15) photos (with the 541XL).

CAUTION

There is both a CL 541XL and without XL, without the XL has only about 1/3 of the coverage so be sure to buy the XL versions!

One point I draw from because the printers' cartridge empty "although some was still present in ink.
