So, here is my impression:
- Reception Quality: very good (even notice that Daniel Gilles)
- Sound OK, jespérais a little chest and slightly less nasal (or less plastic). It is located in the high average this quoffre generally this type of product but say quau seen the sale price, jattendais a higher level.
- Note however (for those who love listening to the radio at night) that the headphone output is excellent quality. We generally feel that electronic base is a very good level.
- The entrance line is very well thought out (amplified with accessible sound settings: volume, voice, natural, music)
- About the volume adjustment, I can understand that Daniel Gilles prefers the wheel but for my part, I find them much more convenient buttons: easier DPress the buttons on top of the device (on the nightstand) japprécie and especially the attention of engineers on the fineness of the volume control. Level 1 is very low (the top) and progression Completion level 30 is just perfect (at least up to level 15 knowing that I did not go beyond). Compared with a traditional potentiometer, I found so nice to be able to associate a reference number at a sound level (not to mention the complete absence of cracking)
- The tone control on 3 levels (voice, normal, music) is appreciable. I remain generally on Music. It is one that offers me the clarity for both classical music for voices. Incidentally, although I am critical on the product overall sound, I must say that the sound is very clear. Sometimes I put the chain at a very low level to gain a bit of chest and position it near radio to enjoy the clarity of a musical concert on France Musique for example.
- Concerning The display, the background is relatively dark, I find that without backlight visibility is just acceptable and the backlighting although of a very pretty pale blue seems too powerful. Adjusting the brightness of the backlight was more (even sil only disables a few seconds when dune handling). This would have allowed Gilles Daniel disable such maurait and avoided to keep my phone close to avoid waking my other half when i want to know lheure night.
From the consumer side, I do not have enough distance to judge. I trust Gilles Daniel, however, since I nutilise only rechargeable batteries (Duracell Stay Charged, excellent quality with very low dauto-discharge rate), this nest absolutely not awkward at my level, and I think the presence of a flag when the battery charge becomes critical is already a very good thing not to blame for not having Blaupunkt built a more accurate gauge.
Anyway, I'll give 4 out of 5. The star is removed primarily due dune extrinsic perfectible sound quality for my taste relative to the price of the product. A cm thick and more such offer more stability and more opportunity acoustically, a speaker with a diameter greater (at least that of the apparent grid) improve sound perception although clarity on its intermediate frequency is greatly appreciated.
Then the excellent surprise on the fineness of the digital set volume offset impossibility to adjust the brightness of lafficheur lorsquelle disables or impossibility of seeing lheure when the radio is on.
Other areas for improvement jaurais appreciated:
- Be able to adjust the number and the sound level of the radio when the alarm programming to obtain an independent timer setting of the last listening.
- The ability to automatically disable the alarm on weekends by additional programming choices
- The display of the date and the ambient temperature over a portion of lafficheur (in addition to the standing time).
- The sound of discreet key to certain keys (eg SNOOZE often used to illuminate lafficheur or volume +/-, Preset +/-) while retaining the hardness of ON / OFF or ALARM keys to what will not trigger too easily.
Conclusion I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a radio station with modest dimensions, with a very clear sound (especially at low volumes) without expecting much more acoustic envelope that side "transistor" classic of this size. As you will understand, I would appreciate it Blaupunkt focus in the future on the envelope because the electronics are of an excellent standard. For those looking for a product with integrated power supply (slightly less nomadic and slightly larger), the top model (BTD7001) seems a great alternative.
Side design and quality of plastics (including white), the product is very pleasant.
Finally, with rechargeable batteries that I reported earlier (Duracell Stay Charged), allow me to stress the immeasurable step forward made in recent years on the potential of these cells. So as the rechargeable battery of yesteryear will soon discharged without even being used (which made its highly critical use or impossible on many devices), they just manage to rally the advantages of a disposable battery and a rechargeable battery. While the cost of the investment is not negligible, but after a few months, it is amortized, besides it's more convenient, more environmentally friendly or more not to buy or throw batteries later .
