It's my second Stehmann pants and I do not think you should order one size smaller (unless it is expected that the pants like leggings sitting). The Ina in black is elegant (I bought them for theater visits, etc.) and fits perfectly. However, I wear my pants usually slightly longer and therefore have long wondered whether I should keep it. Approximately two centimeters longer would I like better, but basically it is ankle length, it's okay. However, I am not tall (1.63 cm) and think that larger women can do anything with the Ina. Is really great that the Stehmann pants retain their shape and do not bulge at the knees. It will not be my last Stehmann trousers. One point deduction for the length, otherwise highly recommended!
