To the home theater (Keller family house) to improve the reception, I bought this set. I also had fluctuating or ,. terminating wireless reception. (2 Previously St. 546E and 520E 2 at the Fritz box 7490 connection VDSL50). Have the 520E / 546E only reset and then connected the two 1000s to factory settings. A 1000s directly connected to the Fritz box 7490, one in the adjacent outlet (both individual outlets). The connection I Security / Powerline key was a disaster. After 2 hours I wanted to give up. (Enter Device Password) but then again all reset and each with the powerline software connected. It was always the new device into a power outlet that away (connected to 7490) of the 1000s only 20 cm. That was very quick and all devices were directly connected and the speed is now on each device about 2 - 3 times as high as before. Even the wireless reception in the basement, and a terrace (on the 2 546E) is much more stable and better.
Maybe that should also record AVM in the manual "Setting up and connecting" to indicate (alternative connection via Software Powerline). Would have saved me two hours work.
Another note: The closer is the connected to the Fritz box via LAN Powerline socket at the Fritz box, the stronger the interference or weaker the reception. At least in my private office. Have tested at several outlets. Also one thing that you should try out for weak reception.
At 2 hours extra work for me but not a reason to deduct a star, am very happy now
