The included Quick Start Guide is understandable and so the multi-room speaker is quickly integrated into the network. The next step is to download the necessary app. In my case this is the Android version of the "Panasonic Streaming Music" app.
The Panasonic app launches in landscape mode (and forcibly, that it does not present himself to the portrait to).
Then you choose the associated with the Panasonic App Radio App "Allplay Radio", so start this - forcibly - in portrait mode. So one turns cheerful smartphone or tablet until you finally settled on all actions and music bursts from the speakers. User-friendly is not. The Panasonic app has been criticized by other users, and I agree with the chorus of critics. The software department urgently needs to detention and program a clear user interface. The current version is very intuitive and thus untimely. I'm still not completely familiar with the operation.
Measured by the volume of the speaker enclosure provides a pleasantly warm sound, which is tolerable for a long time and has no focus, as is sometimes at wireless speakers of the event. I like, however, clearly sound better when the speaker is operated in landscape mode. Here I upended the speaker, after a moment, the system is switched to the upright mode, and then go some of the voluminous sound lost. Also, of course, suffers the spatial sound: The spatiality crashes almost together. For me, the speaker must be so. Quite surprised I was when I fed the speakers to the AUX jack with non-data-reduced music. Then he plays again joyful, bright, open. Then he reveals its real potential. According to the detailed instructions which you can download from the Panasonic-side (which I strongly recommend, because the enclosed instructions are really very scarce), the box plays per Allplay the formats MP3 / AAC, FLAC / ALAC, and WAV and via DLNA the MP3, FLAC and WAV. The guide restricts: "Uncompressed FLAC files may not work properly" - I did not try!
But fans and MP3 Internet radio listeners will get their money: The Panasonic speakers are data-reduced material again appropriate. Listening is fun. The built-in app Equalizer I do not use: The box then sounds best when you turn off the equalizer.
Because the app I subtract a star.
