Good sound; some height and emphasizes bassarm, noise reduction "satisfactory"

The Sound:
First of surpised pleasant, very clean and very transparent, free breathing and solved.
Fantastic is the spatial depth that opens up.

The bass: With me, are very reticent. The highs: The stresses are pronounced. For me OK, because I have a rather stressed (though not unpleasant) treble sound signature was from Beyerdynamic (DT 911) and Ultimate Ears (triple-Fi) already used to.

The noise suppression:

There are in the video portal "DuRöhre" a good comparison, where someone different models from different manufacturers plugging in a noisy small plane into a dummy head. What belongs to the dummy head, is the audio channel of the video. One whom before the PC headphones touches down, you can hear the real effect quite well. This Sennheiser thereby outperformed (compared to others) from, except for a big band headphone model. Note, however, that the tester a Sennheiser employees is, however, the (in this video) does not reveals itself as such. There is a calibration option to explicitly adjust the compensation rate to various ear anatomy that works but only within very narrow limits. I was first so clueless about the (non-) existence of calibration improvements that I am now back to the default settings.

The electronics generate a very quiet noise floor. But is irrelevant because it is drowned out, and inside you will anyway without hearing the noise suppression.

However, only scarce 4 stars are appropriate in sum, because
- Listeners are quiet (and not everyone has strong signal)
- The timbre (without equalization) is not neutral, but rather in the direction of cooling; Equalizing is therefore unfortunately "coercion", which is somewhat contrary to the high-end concept
- Be it done no noise suppression wonders (unfortunately heavy dependence on ear anatomy?)
- The price is proud.
