I am very happy with this lens on my EOS 70D. The build quality is flawless (no play or wobble), the image quality is very good (also nice sharpness), the AF works very quickly and absolutely silently. The bayonet is made of plastic, which does not bother me. For my hobby photography the lens is more than adequate and I do not see a telephoto lens 1000 - to pay EUR, only to housing and bayonet made of metal. The STM Lens are also significantly high-quality and better on the image quality as the old Canon "IS II" lenses.
So from my side a strong buy recommendation.
