What I liked:
--Grafik--
The graphics are really terrific. Yes, sometimes you feel that you will be slain in places a little too much of Bloom. And yes, not all the textures are always 100% sharp and clean. But sometimes graphically the title belongs in totality to the best that has appeared in recent years on a console. You can see individual details of the face, such as birthmarks, facial features. Although the wet character gets out of the water, looks really damn good. [Small spoiler] Especially the scene where Jodie is initially on the train, an absolute feast for the eyes [/ spoiler] is concern you have but of course, that the excellent graphics "only" why is possible because there is relatively little natural interaction , All in all, a real graphic gun that was presented to us here.
--Story--
The story is good. Jodie will be accompanied throughout the game from an imaginary power called "Aiden". The game allows a button to switch between the two people. Aiden has the ability to move objects and to control other people what you can do for the benefit during the game. Hard to plotline also heard the scientist Nathan Dawkins, who analyzed Jodie's superhuman abilities and is a trusted third party. Not to much to spoilers, but I will now stop talking about the content, but declare whether there has ever captivated me the story.
One thing first: With the brilliant story of Heavy Rain this can not keep up in my eyes. That is now not that the story that is told here is bad, quite the contrary. I could also identify very well with Jodie me. This is also the first more or less weakness the game.
--Soundtrack--
A super soundscape. Both the sound effects and the music composed by Hans Zimmer are absolutely terrific.
What was ok:
--Charaktere--
I prefer here also always the comparison with Heavy Rain because it simply was the benchmark for me / is, to what is Beyond Two Souls should measure. Yes, with Jodie feels with you, but that's it. The other characters were me in principle no matter what was different in Heavy Rain. Each character has an interest, so it was at least for me. Different characters, which clashed during the game, which ends with a big showdown. The focus is too much given to Jodie. Do not misunderstand. Of course, the focus must be placed on the main character, but the emotional state of other people was indeed taken up in my eyes, but not satisfactory.
I thought that was not so good:
--Steuerung--
Heavy Rain players will know the control. Newcomers will certainly need a little longer, until the controller has been internalized. Unfortunately, it is so that the character is stuck in places where it actually goes on, the control does not work properly even though you press the stick, or the character goes simply times to the left, even though you wanted to right. Although this does not happen so often, but often enough to make it noted times.
What remains to say in conclusion?
Beyond Two Souls is a good game. Since my review is also compared to Heavy Rain, the other players may also look very different policy.
My personal expectations were, however, not entirely satisfied, even if the game was close. The sometimes clunky controls, both the neglect of many supporting characters, avoid in my eyes that this game can be called a hit and thus 5 stars deserved.
