Good Universal Vacations zoom if the adjustment is correct!

I bought the Zoom and mounted on an EOS 1100D. Then the MEGA disappointment throughout blurred, especially in wide-angle images, even in good light. Compared with a similar objective (S ... A) is the huge difference showed.
Since this lens had done well in international comparisons, I suspected a mistake and have it immediately reclaims. I got a new lens and the frustration was repeated unfortunately.
Now it really was enough. I took a sharpness table and drew up FokusTest images (Traumflieger website!): There was a massive front focus, which was extremely at 18mm and only became less noticeable with steigener focal length.

So: The service center visited (for Austria, a very friendly and competent company!) And that the lens is completed.
After about 10 days I got it back with the note: autofocus adjusted sharpness adjusted, carried out tests on the reference camera.

Well, that sounded so ever great and you would be if you do not get the message "comply with company standards", as already seen in another case in another camera company.
So immediately tested, and now turned out that the objective of the enormous focal length range really reflects very well. The focus is now ok, especially dimmed something really neat.

I am reporting this in such detail in order to motivate the budget-minded photographers to test this lens. The time now is really fun. And who has problems with the sharpness ----> From the adjustment on the optical bench! then you get a precisely-aligned lens, probably better than you would get it in the consumer segment by the series spread ever.

A small point of criticism at the end: If you targeted a motif, the image stabilizer starts, whereby the image slightly crazy. This is the beginning of something strange and can in rare cases lead to the targeted subject-point of the focus box jumps. It would be better if the stability of the camera is turned anfährt equal, as is the case with other products. Presumably, however, it has done this because the energy consumption so.

Something Positive mega still in the end: if you registered the Objetiv to 2 months of purchase, you get a full 5 year warranty !!!!
