Have this clock now about 14 days with 7 runs. So far, also from Garmin, the, getting on in years, eTrex Vista HCx (2007). I have to say, the technology has evolved in this area. This clock serves its purpose, namely to record my runs. I had as yet no outliers via GPS, even though I run a lot in the forest. This was important to me because I almost always had to rework via software in my old unit. Of the functions ago kept simple and can only be the most necessary. Easy to read display with light function. Built-in clock via GPS, 4 keys. No built-in bells and whistles such as timers or alarm. Not expandable with chest strap or foot pod, so no accessories available. Included is a connection cable with USB connector. This cable is clipped to the back of the clock and USB to PC. Serves both for charging and for data transmission. This solution I find quite good. In the settings you can set how far away you can display intermediate times, such as after each kilometer, then gives the clock a Pipser once to indicate the time for the kilometer run to. The sounds are not very loud when you walk on a busy road, then one hears about this. There are further settings for "motivation", but I have disabled and do not use. In the "Protocol" I can retrieve the data of my runs. How many records are stored until it is the last to be deleted, I do not know, is nowhere. As a precaution, you should back them up again. For battery life I can not write anything yet because I before battery have transmitted all the data, and therefore it is indeed automatically reloaded. But I think that the 5h get there described. This applies only to the pure runtime via GPS. If the run is saved, then GPS is turned off again and the clock only runs as a "clock". Why only 4 stars: The only complaint I have is when starting the duration of the GPS positioning. Is very dependent on the open sky. For me there are a few higher houses and trees and because it takes sometimes perceived 5min. But everything should be free, then it's pretty quick.
