My paternal grandfather had fought 14 / 18. Child my brothers and I are questioning him. He answered only briefly this past that probably he had buried in a corner of his brain. With Knight's book is immersed in this war so brutally that for my part I felt like I was living with him those terrible times. Finally it best summarizes the war by the word FEAR. The butcher, the absurd command are described bluntly. For me the most is scary to think that for hairy, this barbarity never ending, while some remained for years in the mud of the trenches. What makes it even better is that the author has a very colorful style and addictive. I could not give in to sleep when reading this book at night in my bed, my room was populated with dead and wounded dying. Good book on the literary level, FEAR is becoming a fantastic testimony on the war 14/18, the war there is almost a century!
