My connection type:
Graphics card Radeon HD4350 (HDMI out) to monitor ASUS VW222U (DVI in).

I wanted to connect a second monitor to the graphics card and only had the choice between VGA and HDMI, as the DVI output is already connected to the Erstmonitor. VGA's no longer exactly a hit, so I wanted to try the variant HDMI to DVI.

Works flawlessly.
