Intended use of the cable was connecting my HTPCs with a 2nd monitor, as a kind of surf monitor.
Since my HTPC is designed on saving electricity, tinkers in his only NVIDIA 440GT (1GB / OEM). Unfortunately, this does not seem to deliver on the DVI / VGA output enough power, so as image on the screen flickers quite strong. To rule out the monitor as a source of error, I have the cable still connected to my netbook> as it was then without problems ...
Too bad. Now I have to see if I'll buy the HTPC a new graphics card to be able to play on more complex games on it, or if a new cable must be found.
From me there yet full marks because the cable functioned flawlessly and is extremely cheap.
