Customer Review

Naturally, I am with sudden comeback after more than a decade hiatus once carefully. The strong smell of lack of money is often in the air and not that of an artistic new beginning, as it should be. Only Kate Bush could to convince me among the artists who "want to know again," it suddenly. To date, at least.

I love Kim Wilde since I can remember, looking at it at the time as a great loss when she hung her from 1995 complete Sangeskarriere on the nail after her flop album. All the more exciting I expected her new album - it has not disappointed me.

With "Perfect Girl" they are also equal to a fulminant and representativen entry for the entire album, and we remember also the same, for which Kim during their Heydays in the 80s was: Highly infectious melodies, paired with this unique voice. Kim has to be's still got her voice seems hardly aged. In fact, she's can not crack as since its early days. Kim Wilde, the Rock Chick is back. The "Rock" is on this album clearly in the foreground. From the very beautiful indeed, but often watered-numbers especially their latest album is nothing more to feel. Songs like "I fly" or "Game Over" remember but temporarily to actually figureheads like Joan Jett or Debbie Harry. With "Lost Without You" it delivers one of the strongest pieces of her career - and that's saying really what.

The weak side of the CD set clearly the remakes of their old hits is "You Came" worked here still wonderful, but it was converted from a synth-piece in a soft-rockers -. And is the song received. The remaining remakes, with the exception of the very successful Oakenfold updates of "Cambodia", however, are invariably be described as weak. Absolute low point is the new version of her number 1 hit "You Keep Me Hanging On". This new version is adjacent with its troughs and terribly old-fashioned acting techno beats already almost to blasphemy. Cloudy, with Nena listening to this song is great, but the musical accompaniment is an impertinence. It is exactly this remake, which has cost the album in my review its fifth star.

I'm incredibly happy that Kim Wilde is back. I wish her a great success with this very, very good album. And if subsequent albums have the same quality as this one, then she needs to sing also no longer stop.
