Customer Review

After the split of "Wham!" 1986 the most commercially successful pop band of the 80's and the trial run of Michael's solo hit "Careless Whisper", "A different corner" and "I Knew You Were Waiting", a brilliant duet with Aretha Franklin published in 1987 his long awaited first solo Album that in the US charts as a bombshell. "Faith," "Father Figure", "One More Try" and "Monkey" climbed all the top of the US charts. With "I Want Your Sex" and "Kissing A Fool", the disc featured two other US top 5 hits. Michaels debut thus became a huge success and ended up both in the UK and in the US album charts at No. 1, 20 million units sold and a Grammy Award-award in the category best album catapulted George Michael in 1989 at the peak of his still so young solo career. This to confirm with his follow-up album seemed an impossible task, which should not be up to the artist. But this is another story, or review.
