Service:
The lid of the cooker can not be opened as with other models with a thumb pressure but is opened and locked by turning. Since you can but easily fill it through the spout that is not a disadvantage. Open you have to complete it only for cleaning.
The cooker is to be filled with a maximum of 1 liter of water, which I thought at first for too little. Many cooker hold more volume. Even in our previous cooker fit a lot more now, however, we noticed that we very rarely need more than a liter and have previously actually made always too much water hot.
You can choose whether the water is to be 40, 60, 80 or 100 degrees hot. If the temperature reaches gwählte, gives the stove a faint beeping of themselves and shut down. My wife poured her tea now with 80 degrees, so that it is faster to drink. For example, baby food or green tea, which is not to be poured boiling, this function is certainly very useful. There is also a keep warm function on these four stages, which we did not use.
Cleaning:
The unit has filters of fine wire mesh and woven plastic. This seems to work well. However, we have here rather soft water, so I can not be conclusively assessed it. The filter can also be dismantled and cleaned in the dishwasher.
Energy consumption:
The conclusion could be five stars for a great kettle, but now comes the rub. In order for the stove can bring the water to the set temperature, it has a temperature sensor. In 24 hours 'standby' consumes the device 0.14 kilowatt hours of electricity. A kilowatt hour currently costs 21.06 cents with us.
