It was a joy this laptop to handle and unfold the first time. It feels through the aluminum unibody and the display with black glossy frame extremely high on. It has gained some weight but I could not say that it would interfere with work. The keys have a very pleasant pressure point and are beautifully lit (even with automatic control which the brightness of your).
The famous trackpad remained true to my expectations. The functions with multiple fingers to operate reliably can be learned in a few hours with ease. But here is also, in my opinion, the biggest shortcoming notebooks: The sharp edges. They look absolutely awesome but when writing on the couch cut quite in the forearms.
The screen (with me the Glossy) makes a great impression. Good brightness, great color. The reflections bother me actually not at but frankly they do not appear as strong in, as many claim.
Now for the inside: Snow Leopard comes pre-installed and even though I was for years Windows users, I'm very well with it. It runs absolutely smoothly and is still much fancier than any Windows style.
The performance of the top model can probably only when working with graphics and video editing and playing exploit properly but this I am not yet come. But if you look at the early benchmarks on the internet, the new i5 / 7 CPU's and the GT330 do their job more than good.
When working with multiple windows, live streams, text editing, DVD burning and listen to music any delay can be determined in any way. Videos and films are a feast for the eyes on such a screen. By the way, I decided against the new high-res option because I believe that the fonts and buttons on a 15 incher in 1440s resolution already small enough and the slightly larger workspace in 1680x1068 to little effect.
The battery life of 8-9 hours I can not confirm until now, so far warens about 6. But let's see what comes when the battery is fully charged several times.
On the whole: The MBP's are really very expensive, but you look at the expense not only the name. There are make this notebook so awesome the details. From my side: strong buy recommendation!
