Friends of early prog albums of Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull or Genesis can access safely here. Closer oriented to classical song structures than the published at the time the albums aforementioned bands, the disc already has many trademarks of later Supertramp recognize: Catchy melodies, here still in an absolutely "lard-free" context.
As a surprisingly good way, I feel the sound of the remastered CD! As the warm, sophisticated sound of the vinyl LP was carefully taken without over breed the treble / presence-range, as with so many other digital formats.
I find it nothing short of astonishing that the debut (!) A band in 1970 as good sounds. Compare this with the lifeless, like plastic, totkomprimierten, thin today's productions ...
