1) The arrows flying really good and far - certainly not 20 meters, but that may be because we use batteries that provide yes only 1.2V
2) The arrows do not actually hurt - just should not shoot directly into the face you - eye arrows'd better not go - and I use up two guns, plastic beads, in this regard have more worries.
This model with the rotating drum has another advantage:
3) You can see the drum during the battle reload by quickly just plug from the front arrows in the drum - a matter of split seconds.
My son comes to the stockade along well - although you have to pull the trigger even stronger as a result, the drum has to be rotated. The arrows are accelerated by small cog in the run - so you need batteries. The mechanism moves the arrows just a bit down the barrel. Therefore Low battery power shortens the flight path.
Here is the only drawback - the engine läft permanently by and that's a pretty loud buzzing. He is ausschltbar via a slide top of the cabinet that opens an account, through which you can fix an "arrow Jam". But that is rather impractical in combat.
There is another model where you can motor with a second trigger switch on Extra - We like that better in this point - The Hailfire. However, working with Arrow magazines that you have significantly more cumbersome reloading.
