Because of the whole lousy reviews I was extremely skeptical. The fears have not come true, fortunately. The most important in brief:
- The atmosphere is not to be compared with part 1 but no worse than in the second part. There are many dark passages. Especially the scenes in daylight enter the game but a very bizarre note. I sneaked to the usual uneasy feeling around the corners. Who says here that the atmosphere is worse than in predecessor suffers m. M. for under the wear and tear of the franchise. To experience the gaming experience of the first part again is hardly possible.
- Terror? There are plenty of quiet sections and then again in those scenarios attack several enemies at once. Here you would have to proceed tactically and stasis should use. This is called well-terrorism.
There are also human troops, compared with the Necromorphs are rather weak. Some really big bosses there just like the nasty regenerators. The latter solve as always correct stress. Class!
- As a new gameplay content there including the ability to freeze (Lost Planet says hello :) and climbing or abseiling. Very nicely done! A few (new) Puzzle and mystery loosen the Game on something.
- The story is OK. The German Synchro very successful.
- The new upgrade system resources is a matter of taste. Gives many possibilities but my node from the first two parts were better.
- Multiplayer and DLCs I do not use. Since I can so nothing to say.
So again a very good game. Comparisons with the lousy Resi 6 and whining that the Dead Space franchise is now totally broken are m. E absolutely unjustified. Gamble!
