I play passionately with mouse and keyboard, but I wanted to play as a pure PC gamers once again with a gamepad for years. The motivation for me was clearly the greater freedom of movement; I can comfortably sit on the sofa, put your feet up and relax while playing so beautifully. For sure, the wireless edition of XBOX controller is the first choice. Years ago I was in possession of a PlayStation 1, but the shape of the new for me XBOX gamepad told me from the beginning to. It fits comfortably in your hand and all testing are easily accessible. Even the slightly different button layout compared to the PlayStation was not a big change for me. The weight of the controller, I personally feel very pleasant. It is not easy, but not too heavy that you could not hold for several hours in the hands of it. Only the large battery compartment on the bottom seemed at first a bit unusual. Although I have rather large hands bothers me while gambling but barely. In the delivery are two batteries type 'AA' contain (no Akkus1!). So far, the two sides consider more than a month, in the supplied CD driver program the battery level is still displayed as a 'fully loaded'. Of course, the gamepad controls the vibration function, one of the few things I miss playing with mouse and keyboard. Here, the motors do their work very quietly and therefore do not disturb. All games tested so far (Skyrim, GTA 4, From Dust, Mini Ninjas') recognize the controller (for driver installation) immediately and show the XBOX buttons on unless a specific key to be pressed. The receiver is connected via USB to the PC and is slightly larger than the modern car keys of BMW and CO. A positive feature is the really long cable here. So should an optimal placement of the receiver not be a problem. Only a property of the controller bothers me. As far as I know, the game pad can not be turned off. After some time it turns off by itself though, but I feel this is unnecessary nuisance. Especially at night or in the dark, this is particularly annoying: the PC is turned off and there is thus no more radio link, the status LED of the gamepad for a long time to blink even! At the processing is otherwise nothing to complain about.
CONCLUSION: Toll shaped controller, which is recognized by almost all modern games at once! Achieved course not quite the precession of a gaming mouse, it has some other advantages!
