The Cosmos experimental kit wind energy makes a really good impression. The parts, which remind me of a Lego building block, all of which are tailored and high quality. The construction of the wind turbine went, thanks to the well-developed guidance, without a hitch. During construction, we learn quite a few aspects about wind power that had a so not really aware in detail, or with whom one simply does not deal adequately in everyday life. This is very interesting and so makes itself instructive fun. If the wind turbine is assembled and erected, the possibilities of the experiment box, however, are far from exhausted - actually the fun begins only then on. In 32-page instruction booklet a lot of tests are proposed which you can do and there are many further interesting information. In addition, can still be build from the parts of other stuff.
We have our wind generator, which is incidentally a proud 90 cm high, attached to the balcony railing. It takes a decent breeze to make it rotate and must be perfectly aligned. Unfortunately, the battery could not be charged with that because I simply did not need the wind. A positive side effect of the wind turbine has also - the pigeons have not (yet) part of respect for and trust no longer on the balcony :-) The sticker, which can affect the wind turbine is more authentic, not 100 percent waterproof. He curls and forms wrinkles.
I would imagine this kit with its various trials very good for a small group of students - with several people makes experimenting but even more fun and the learning and understanding of effect, compared to dry subject matter, would be to increase significantly.
