Buyer of the house the previous owner had left us his old lawnmower - a rather heavy old monster with which we were not really happy. So this has been presented and a slightly smaller and significantly lighter purchased by Bosch (Bosch Rotak with Ergo handle, etc.). We quickly realized that now, although the small corners were better to mow, but the land lasted somewhat longer. But since we had to go through well. After one year, the mower was then however his spirit and therefore went back on Amazon. The follow-up unit was again by Bosch, but this time slightly larger. Positive stays there almost only to mention the very small for the size of weight. Already during installation, however, broke off the first plastic holder. If you slightly raised the mower to difficult passages, he was anything but stiff and the cutting performance was absolutely underground. When something (!) Higher lawn massive grass cuttings remained on the surface and the engine sounded no longer good. So the mower went back within 14 days.
After much research I ended up with the AL-KO. The brand I only knew from my garden pump (is absolutely OK) and have tried because of the many positive reviews my luck. After several months of use, I can now say that I'm really 100% satisfied. The AL-KO is significantly heavier than the Bosch models (so maybe not for the faint ladies) but it all is also much more robust / thicker walls. The naturally produced weight (12 kg 19 kg). The mowing performance is absolutely super and the service also very pleasant. Fix the bracket that has to be put on for mowing I find much better than the 5 keys which you should press at the Bosch Rotak with Ergo handle. Toll (and fair) I also think that the mulch insert is here directly with this. Bosch asked for its mulching kit over 20 EUR quite rude for a simple plastic insert.
Conclusion: For me personally the perfect mower!

Addition:
In a very prominent here Video Review of the mower has been criticized that the airstream would open the rear door and get out of here flies the grass clippings. That's my personal opinion, utter rubbish and either a defect or faked. My comment:
So I can hardly believe what I'm seeing. I have the mower for a few months also in use and the flap sits 1A and nothing is flying out the back. The prerequisite is that one hangs the cage clean, and then closes the door without any problems. The airflow pushes times since absolutely nothing high.
To me, it looks more as if here 1. the basket is completely full (otherwise would escape the air yes on the sides and not push up the flap) and 2. the basket was not cleanly unmounted, so that the flap does not may close. One does not see in the video the way also that the flap is pushed up, but only that it is open. Even the mini-flap of the level indicator is in the air flow constantly up and down - the huge flap is against it all the time to be completely pushed? Very funny ... Without going impute what I could film if I wanted the same.
From my perspective, the mower is here criticized unjustly what I find very sad, because it is for example superior to the current Bosch models by far.
