To me it is not difficult for this CD, and especially for the DVD to take up the cudgels. Clapton played the songs of Robert Johnson with an absolutely gifted musicians. Here I would like especially II particularly pointing out Doyle Bramhall. He complements incredibly well with Clapton on guitar. Bramhall II is me "In The Flesh" noticed already at the Live concert of Red Waters. Here you hear once "comfortly Numb" at. Of course, Billy Preston must not be forgotten at the Hammond organ. Even Chris Stainton on piano is top notch. The clock holder on drums, Steve Gadd and bassist Nathan East, also do a great job. My Anspieltipps and also are favorite songs of the recording: "If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day", "From Four Until Late" and "Sweet Home Chicago". However, one particularly worthy of praise the DVD. In the four sessions you get offered a wonderfully relaxed musical atmosphere. You can feel simply that the gentlemen present makes your driving fun. Here I like the Clapton alone proffered "Love in Vain" particularly well. Too bad it can not be heard on the CD. This song, however, you can hear on "Me and Mr. Johnson." So, I liked the "Sessions For Robert J" very well. Anyone who likes Clapton Blue interpretations is, right here.
