Now the hardware. The netbook is very well made, nothing creaks or squeaks, the keyboard is also well made and the keys have a pleasant pressure point, the touchpad also works flawlessly. The netbook has a glossy display (which does not bother me since I mostly used indoors) with really crisp colors and great contrast. The battery life is up to me at about 4 1/2 hours. That's not so bad when you consider that my HSDPA USB modem draws a lot of current. Charged the battery after about 2 hours. The speakers are also ok but since I hear a lot of music over the netbook I have external USB speakers to buy but on the go enough to provide built.
Neither the netbook or the AC adapter or the battery is excessively hot during operation or charging. If the netbook powered by the power supply, the fan runs constantly at its lowest setting but this hardly bothers (in battery mode, the fan turns only from time to time). The hard drive is very quiet and is barely audible. On the hard drive is actually a recovery image which allows you to return your Netbook to factory status. It comes with well a recovery DVD is with which one can make an external DVD drive the same.
Positive experiences with the Green Chilli Support way, I have already made. Due to the constantly running fan on AC power I have the Chiligreen support via e-mail contact because I did not know if this is normal. After only 20 minutes (!!) I already got a very friendly and competent answer from Support. I would not have thought so. I thought it would take at least a few days. (Incidentally, this is normal with the fan).
What was also very positive that's the netbook apart from the operating system and excluded from the "Control Center" (it shows the CPU temperature, Ladezutsand from battery ect.) And Microsoft Office Starter 2010 (includes scaled-down versions of Word and Excel) any software or annoying trial versions was preinstalled.
I am very pleased with this netbook and it can really recommend it to everyone.
