S chnelligkeit:
The laptop is thanks to the processor really fast on the road! At the very first use, I was really surprised at how quickly went booting. KEYBOARD:

Although one might assume that the fact that the notebook casing mainly of plastic is the laptop in real terms could act perhaps cheap, but that he does not at all thanks to the good workmanship.
PROCESSING:
Another plus for me is like just mentioned processing that makes a good impression. Important processing is also because I want to take the laptop from time to time with the university or the Bib. I was looking for a durable notebook and therefore I would like to emphasize very positive because of the laptop makes a very stable impression and I therefore conclude on longevity and hope even because we really in this regard in the family only good so far experience with Lenovo have made. Also nice, I find that the sound (with headphones!) Is really pretty good. Price-performance ratio:
I really long and hard for a suitable notebook for me held out and have to say really, that in this notebook, the price / performance ratio is just absolutely unbeatable. I have seen some laptops with Intel Pentium processor, which cost already 400. An absolute joke as opposed to this baby here!

For worth mentioning, I think that in this notebook on the keyboard features with the F-keys are assigned and not the other way around. This means that the keys are used primarily for functions such as volume control and the other usual stuff. If you want to use the F-keys, as such, that is, so that you always have to advance press the Fn key, which could be quite a disadvantage for some gamers. I personally did not zocke games where you have to use the F-keys and otherwise not so often need, interests me personally rather less.

One drawback that I can but accept the display is clearly for me. It is glossy, which means that you will be so out there probably so have fun and furthermore has a screen resolution of 1377x768 not bombastic, but okay. Actually my whole hardly disturbs this resolution, the only thing I have to complain about, is the appearance of the desktop wallpapers. Until I found one that was in focus, it took a while. As a little tip on the edge, I would like to mention that people who disturb the reflective display, their laptop for laminating / coating a anti-reflection film can send in. There are several vendors that make and it works quite well. Working outdoors then again makes more fun! For a display of size 15.6 "which will cost a total of about 40 - so really affordable.
W eight M & obilit ä t
A large Contra is for me unfortunately the weight of 2,4kg. This is not an exceptional amount, but it's really easier ... If anyone needs his laptop really go every day, I would not recommend the one good think before buying a new notebook as to whether he can tolerate this weight. Since I need the laptop only occasionally on the road, the weight is acceptable for me.
N etzteil:
What bothers me, is simply that the input of the power supply on the right is. This is of course a matter of taste, but I find this very unusual and it bothers me a little, because 1. somehow all plug to my left and right 2. is always my mouse and I from time to time push to the cable, which annoys a little bit , But that's now complain at a high level and also determines a matter of habit!
L eertaste:
Another negative point in my list is the spacebar that responds to my feeling hard, so I sometimes mistype me because there is no space between my words is. It but you get used to how to each keyboard.

Commissioning with Windows 7 turns out though, if you know your way or otherwise complies with the precise instructions of the nice user - who has taken the trouble fortunately this post (thanks to them!) - Without complications, but if you look unfamiliar and no guidance has, then it is a small, but nerve-racking circumstances catastrophe and could have been avoided by Lenovo or Amazon could have just settled a guide for proper setup of the notebook with Windows 7!
Errors that can G510 Notebook occur if an incorrect installation of Windows 7 at Lenovo, among other problems with the AMD Radeon HD 8750M graphics card, which then brings an error in Device Manager are: "This equipment has been stopped because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ". This happens when one of the drivers of AMD graphics card installed BEFORE the drivers of Intel graphics card. In this case, it is recommended that the driver properly uninstall and delete and reinstall in the correct order again.
This is probably because AMD uses a similar power-saving function as Nvidia's Optimus, which ensures that the integrated GPU is used for the 2D mode and the Radeon GPU only when you start a 3D application.
Therefore you have to install the Intel GPU drivers previously, otherwise the 2D mode does not work properly and possibly the switch would make problems between the two graphics cards. That's my guess, I can not say exactly but it is not.
So that you do not make the same mistake I did and some other people who typed furiously here 1-star rating, I would also like to again give complementary to the other Rezenssionen a short instruction for the installation of Windows 7:
Part 1 - install the operating system:
- Connect the DVD or USB flash drive to boot from the
- Enter the boot menu (either right after the starting repeatedly pressing the F12 key or by using the OneKey Recovery button which is located next to the power button)
- Select a drive you want to boot from the (in my case, USB drive)
- Follow the Windows instructions
Select Custom Installation -
- When Windows asks for the installation, you will delete all partitions first (and removed at the same time FreeDOS)
you need to select and then the bottom right on "Drive options (advanced)" and then click the partitions on the "Delete"
- If you have deleted the partitions and there "unallocated space" is, you click the bottom right of the "New" and you create a partition of the desired size on which to install Windows
- Continue the instruction sequences et voila - done!
- If you installed Windows 7 without SP1, I recommend immediately afterwards on an external hard drive or a USB flash drive to install SP1. For a full installation may take one to three hours
Install drivers correctly - Part 2
The drivers is actually just important that you install the Intel VGA before AMD VGA. Let me give you here my recommendation to install the drivers and their order:
I have downloaded all the drivers from the Lenovo support site and also work without exception, and the WLAN driver. I would also recommend you to do it that way, even the driver for the AMD graphics card.
Best burn Chipset Driver, Rapid Storange, Intel Management Engine Interface, VGA Intel, AMD VGA and WLAN drivers on a CD / DVD or use a USB stick. These drivers are enough for a start, the rest you may download for later.
Then just install and be careful that you install the driver as I said the Intel graphics card before the AMD. Here's my installation sequence:
1. Chipset
2. Rapid Storage
3. Intel Management Engine Interface
4. Intel VGA
At least now restart performing, so the installations of the driver of Intel graphics card can get in place before you install the driver for the AMD graphics card.
5. AMD VGA
6. Wi-Fi
Then simply set up the Internet connection and install the remaining drivers runterladenund.
Part 3 - Ready!
So, you now have a clean furnished operating system running error-free and wonderful. Remember now install your anti-virus program before you blithely surf the Internet! At free variants is as already mentioned VGA quite well. Even better, I find but the Free Edition of BitDefender, which has performed better in the test.

Overall, we can say that the laptop money despite a few minor inconvenience worth and the absolute price / performance winner! All standard tasks can be done very quickly and easily and also the gambling of most games is easily and smoothly possible. For all users with normal requirements is this laptop highly recommended.
Students who need their laptop every day in the university or other people who need to carry their laptop with them every day, but should still consider in advance whether the weight is ok for them. For daily intensive graphic work with Photoshop and other designer tools I personally would probably rely on a notebook with better display.
