As for the reception I was also very surprised. Again and again I have been struggling with poor reception in the living room. When the phone rings, I always had to run fast in the kitchen or outside. The times are due to the KP100 now over. Very commendable.
After the test through its paces, I can recommend to anyone the phone without restriction, just wants to be accessible, occasionally telephoned and time to write an SMS. But even people who are looking for a simple phone and not a completely oversized camera, Internet, UMTS, would have frills phone.
A really great phone.

Edit (21 'December 2009): Use the phone now since 18 October 2008 was as can be seen from the creation date of this review. I was pleasantly surprised, but the majority that regarded this review helpful for. Thanks to this location.
To publish now the long-term test I'll get back to speak to the purchase of the mobile phone even a bit easier:
From the use of her I can recommend it unreservedly for well over a year. In normal pocket use only small traces are present. Does that mean that the display glass withstands a lot. In fact, I still never forget the phone despite its small features on the nerves. I miss neither the video nor the function function in any way to be mobile online.
It is and remains a mobile phone, which to be available in its function and occasionally to make a phone call completely served its purpose.
In the year has fallen into the unit weight with anything negative. Neither crashes, the software or technical faults. A rock-solid mobile phone with good sustainability in general operation.
Even the battery still holds its maximum power. No memory effect, which eventually drives the battery at 70% maximum power down.
Whoever hesitates should buy. A useful casual cell phone for narrow money. And if it sometimes break or get lost in the price far as annoying as a 200Euro expensive device which ultimately only serves to call anyway.

Update 2 August 2011:
Yes, it's still alive! :-)
The display is a bit scratched, but does not interfere during the operation. Quite interesting. Since I have the phone, my 2 phones are completely smoked in the time 2 I've sold, because they have become dull or if the battery has not kept long enough and one I've added fresh as a second phone. The KP 100 currently serves as a business phone. And damn, how many times me the thing fell off or as I sometimes rabidly it on the table throw. It just does not break !!! Now is not that I force it, but the shelf life is amazing. The battery lasts for pure and consumes another 2 weeks fully through. The case also looks good.
LG, you've done a good job.
I wonder whether the successor models also withstand so much ?!
