The 1020 is a beautiful device with excellent camera (OIS and Carl Zeiss optics, f: 2.0). With its 41MP it is when it comes to photos, consider its competition far. Of course you do not get such a look in credit card format, therefore the 160g are due to design. Although invisible thereby have in your pocket is not easy, but in return you get a 4.5 "display at the photos right in the detail view and can edit. An acceptable compensation I think. :) What is concerning. The photos, however, should know is that the 41MP version of pictures can be uploaded directly on Facebook, etc., since the data amounts are too large. However, one can shoot smaller images and the problem is invalid. What surprises me a bit is the fact that the 1020 is little space has as a photo, depending on the setting 17MB can be gone. If you shoot a lot, so it should now and then data on the cloud put (Tip: Datenflat) or a photo handle with battery get (not directly fit your pocket, but very practical for longer trips photo!). The video quality, the grandiose image quality is not quite hold a candle, but keeps readily with the current competition with. For WP8 can be as you want: clear there is not an infinite number of apps. A clear lack sometimes even an app available for Android. Sure you can not remodel any of its flavor a WP8 phone. Nevertheless, there are the most common applications; and just currently quite a lot of new apps are added. The Spicy it: some applications are better than their Android counterparts (example Navisoftware "Here Drive +", which seeks to Android peers). For normal users WP8 definitely has enough apps to get through everyday life. People who automatically want further three songs when listening to music through double-tap on the volume rocker, which are better off with an Android phone, as there is such shenanigans in great abundance. WP8 is simple, has not many options but it runs relatively smoothly. The sound quality is music technically well above average. In this connection, reference is made to "Nokia Music". Using playlists, you can hear free music. Especially when it comes to charts, there is a complete range here. For people like me who want to just listen to music mixed to their liking, which is perfect: I will pay not one cent more for music and get a choice of music, in which I also hear tracks that I otherwise would not be met. I was not aware before purchasing that this service is so convenient. I was also unaware that the headphones are so good. You can keep up with my Sennheiser InEars easily.
A minor drawback, however, there: The battery life is relatively short. It happens quite frequently that I (watch video 30min, 30min hear radio, 30min Games and 25-30 photos) during normal use must seek an outlet for seven hours. All other consumers are switched off. If the battery would be exchanged, I would just take a second battery, but unfortunately that is not the way. I've been thinking for some time, whether it is a star trigger value, but:
1. The competition may also not much better. 2. outlets are in my everyday life quite achievable. 3. In the event that there are no electrical outlets are nearby, you can wrap the photo handle. The battery contains another.
All in all a great phone with a slightly undersized battery. I would look for a new mobile phone, then I would definitely currently comparing 1020 with the LG G2, the Lumia 925 and the Samsung S4. All three hold battery technically a little longer, are easier, but have slightly weaker optics. Is a type question: The G2 is currently the best phone for gamers because of processor and screen. The Lumia 925 is the phone for price foxes. The S4 is a good all-rounder with plastic touch, but could (if you caught a bad display) are very very expensive. Yes, and the 1020, which is currently at length the high-flyer when it comes to photos. The excellent photo quality and verschmerzbare battery weakness make it the perfect companion for me. 5 Stars.
