I bought this Dyson DC62 to replace a elextrolux Ergorapido reached the end of life.
so I can compare the two stars of the electrical brushes without son knowingly.
My preference is the Dyson DC62 ... finally!
the very positive points
- It really sucks well even in "normal" speed and does not lose suction power as and as the tank fills. Dyson keeps its promises
- It sucks fort max speed (but less than a sled vacuum cleaner obviously)
- Autonomy in normal speed: sufficient for 40 to 50m²
- The storage station equipment: easy to install and very convenient
- The long nozzle and the mini brush delivered with the DC62
- The quality of the battery: the engine speed down but never stopped suddenly when the battery is discharged
- It can suck everywhere (floor, wall, ceiling ..)
- It is easy to empty and maintains asks nothing: a filter wash with clean water once / month (that is unless the Ergorapido bcp)
- The quality of assembly and used plastics (excluding brush tube)
which can be improved
- The overall usability: all the weight is at the top of the unit and hand and wrist strain
- LED addition to the brush: a little more than I really loved the electrolux Ergorapido
- Ease of travel and handling: overall it rolls underperformed the Ergorapido
- Sound level: equivalent to but less Ergorapido I find disturbing. it's still very bearable but not discreet!
I do not like
- Poor coating quality of the brush tube, already reported by users from DC35 / dc45: indeed the tube trrrrèèèèèssss scratches easily. I did the 1st use
it is not well Mr Dyson disregard of experience of customer feedback!
In the end I am convinced by this product. Just have to see if he will be reliable over time.
