The recording function of TV equipment works so well quickly and easily. Plug and play just.
But the best part is, the board is really absolutely inaudible in use. The small LED does not interfere with the operation.
Even after several transports in my pocket it still works tadelos.
The plate is not hot even after prolonged use as light.
The plate goes into automatic standby if for a time (LED goes out) no access occurred. With renewed access is quickly back, so I could not even find on a PC is a delay in the access itself.

I already have the predecessor of this hard drive and use it to capture device to my TV, or play.
The predecessor could hear a slight hum when working. This is no longer present in the new version and reviewed here. One hears definitely nothing of the plate. Only the small LEDchen flashing in white.
Especially in quiet passages in movies the slight hum was annoying. Therefore full points for this board!
The workmanship is good. The design has a now not from the stool. Simple plastic grip. But there are to win any design prize, attending full points.
Speed I have not been tested for maximum value. Files can be but move very quickly with USB 3.
The plate shows with white LED light, it is connected to USB 2 or less and with blue LED is a USB 3 connection available. Practical!
The included cable is about 40 cm long. If that is too short, the drive also works with an extension (AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable A Male to A-Female (3 meters)) on the TV device still perfect.
On the PC 40cm should be enough. Otherwise, I recommend to the part: [Specially for desktops] Anker® USB 3.0 dual-port bus-powered 2-port hub with a built-in USB 3.0 1 meter cable for desktops
Simply place on the desk and never go back to cable short! :-)
