After much superior (or at least a little shorter) have decided my Nikon D5200 zuzulegen. Apart from the really positive test reports in various magazines were mainly the HDR bracketing, the great and low-noise resolution, the folding screen. Oh God, it is too much to enumerate them all
Since there already are some reviews here I confine myself to the most important for me benefits
Resolution
The 24 MP sensor is the sensor of the D 3200, as Nikon has promised If it is a completely new development. Despite higher resolution, I would argue in terms of image quality depends on it, the Nikon D5100 and D7000. From noise performance (and I am a layman) I can only positive reports, the ISO sensitivity is increased significantly.
Autofocus
The real fun starts the autofocus, it is very fast, very precise (even if it is zoomed into detail usually still pretty sharp). Moving objects is no problem, Face Detection Yes (funny when more than one person gets each one a green dot on the nose), have different depths also no problem. Supposedly derived from the Aufofokus D7000
Programs and HDR
There are some new programs, as usual are the most important directly with the wheel in addition there are more scenes (Autumn, flowers, children, animals, food, etc.) and effects (light, dark, comic, S / W with color picker). Of course, one does not need the programs for everyday Fotografietag but it's still fun to use them. I'll spare at least some to rework me.
The HDR was very important to me, it is if you even know it is easy to find (at P points) and I have additionally the function key in order. The intensity can be set. So far, the HDR mode has also with moving subjects works quite well where if you want really strong expressive HDR shots would you have on the bracketing draw (which works quite well).
Menu and function keys
New uncluttered and intuitive menus and operation. Found myself immediately cope despite new design.
Folding screen
Never again an SLR without folding screen. How convenient at all if you're bigger than me and a woman has that is much smaller. The display can be good show is also protected if one collapses with him display on the inside. He has a good resolution and is also light, so it is in broad daylight you to recognize everything no problem. In short a useful Future which I do not want to miss.
Live View
Actually, I knew it from the compact cameras and was not expecting me too much. Far been wrong! The LiveView branches all settings (including the effects) directly on the display! Settings which affect the image can be viewed directly pull the trigger even before! I love the Live View (unfortunately lengthened the trip time).
Video
Taja Unfortunately, I am not a film maker and also have no experience with it. In the various test reports, the video function is, however, very positive.
Conclusion
However, very compact camera that makes a lot of fun. Even has advantages over the D7100 which is much more expensive. You get for your money just way camera!
