Scope of supply:
Apart from the actual equipment, spare seals and grease is a relatively detailed instruction manual with pictures, texts and some tips and hints as well as an unnecessary DVD. The whole thing is certain as never packed again to get into the box ...
Assembly:
Partly a little "tricky", the assembly succeeded quite easily in about 15 minutes. Sometimes I was not very clear but what was meant exactly in the drawing or description, a lot of room for interpretation does not remain.
For preparation:
Yes, it takes longer completely taped off a room. Since the ceiling had to be stained, I could save a little time here but me. Effectively I have that needs to be "just" rolled compared to the taping of a room, but needed more than 30 minutes longer. Doors and windows were completely sealed with simple tarpaulins, as well as the ground. Even when conventional emphasize to get yes to the taping of baseboards, window frames, etc. switch around not. Here was just covered in a larger scale.
Tip: approx 50mm wide masking tape holds sufficient tarpaulin and skirting close.
The real work:
The unit makes about as much noise as a vacuum cleaner, but that is readily endure. The long lance the old ceilings (about 3.50 high) without conductor o. Ä. Were easily accessible and were stained pretty evenly.
The color (white Alpina, partially tinted) was taken undiluted. A corresponding processing information was also displayed on the container bucket. I now say just once that you should not save in the wrong here.
The pressure which the device is built quite high; so it may happen that too thin tarps when careless handling are simply "blown". During work breaks or when the paint bucket and the device must be switched you should therefore either turn off the unit briefly or hold the lance possible not directly in front of the curtain of an open door ... Okay, after I then pay attention better.
The fact that you have to keep only the spray lance the whole thing is very tiring to use. The paint is nice and evenly through the adjustment of the nozzle can also be narrow places relatively easily dyed without that too much paint mist coming somewhere else.
For a room of about 25 sqm (2 full-length walls, 1 * with door, 1 * with window) I needed, including the ceiling, about 45 minutes. With brush and roller, I probably would have been only half as much at this time!
Handling:
As I said, the lance can be used without tiring. The only drawback is the balancing act when paint bucket and equipment need to be moved to another location. In the alternative, I then asked both to a "dog" was completely framed with 50mm bars; so changes in position were then no longer a problem.
After work:
Cleaning is relatively expensive but also easily perform. Hang the suction hose in a bucket of clean water and let the unit flush. After about 20 liters, the system was clean. (How many liters of water are needed to brush and paint roller again to get eingermaßen clean?). Outdoor incurred overspray can also easily with a little water and a cloth to remove as long as the paint is still fresh. After about 15 minutes, everything was back in order.
Result:
Absolutely streak-free and uniform application of paint, the paint consumption is much lower than usual from the roll forth. By non-contact work remains the plaster on the wall and will not suddenly in the role again. To be to have the whole without heavy arms behind or completely vollgekleckert the ceiling painting with color (except the color fog once).
The coloring of 4 rooms (room and hall) was on a (long) day completely finished, including the taping!
The tedious and time-consuming painting the corners, window frames etc. forfeited without compensation! Here at last one gets the higher Abklebeaufwand out again.
Conclusion:
Absolutely recommendable!
The 5 star does not exist, these are a few little things in need of improvement:
1. Transportptoblem.
As I said, with a rolling base for paint buckets and sprayers it's much better. The hose to Lance is actually long enough but for example in long corridors there is just something closely.
2. Fixing the air hoses.
The so-called tax hose jumped me 2 times on the lance. No Drama; you just wonder where the color remains ... Here are the clamps that hold this Schaluch, fall a little far. I then simply once used tape for fixing. Keeps.
