Great semi-professional camera - lens Tips & More

Have nearly 3 weeks, the Sony Alpha 350 and then tested but opted for the higher quality and more ideal profession Alpha 700. I needed to take pictures no Live View (which is reflected anyway in the sun) and also you can only through the viewfinder to focus (and is in the Alpha 700 is better). Meanwhile, you can get this camera at a reasonable price and should better invest instead of the standard lens in higher quality glasses.

After working through various publications in scientific journals and the corresponding Sony User Forums now I have added myself 3 lenses, which I would like to recommend:

- As "Always top" the Sigma 17-70mm DC, 1: 2.8-4.5
- A super lens (with macro function) is also the Sigma 50mm 1: 2.8 DG Macro
- And for the tele (and macro) range, the Tamron SP AF Di 90mm 1: 2.8 Macro

Now make taking pictures fun - a great for the beginner-to-use camera with no frills. LiveView is always a matter of taste and I need no video function or similar gimmicks, the newer cameras have to offer in the same price segment.

Another Literaturtip for or outsiders: the book by Frank Späth with the "Sony a700 - The book on the camera" from the Point of Sale publisher, I can recommend. The camera and various functions are described very clearly and well; with many illustrations, feature explanations and tips.

I would recommend anyone interested to look at exactly a camera before buying and also to test - especially when compared to competitor offerings - because if the operation is complicated and laborious then photographing makes no especially great fun. And with the simple and logical operation, I see clear advantages in the Alpha 700 - just an ingenious piece of technology ...!
