Have the Odys ordered together with the Acer Iconia A510 and tested, the result is amazing: The Odys is the 150, - Euro more expensive Acer in no way inferior to the contrary. The Odys is equally fast, always supple in use, here "pinched" the Acer before and you have to tap it again. Maybe it's also on Android 4.1, Acer still comes with the 4:01 therefore. Internet via WLAN is even a touch faster than the Acer, the receiver usually works a little bit better. For this, the Acer offers clear sound better on the left and right speakers built, both of which are located at the bottom right of the Odys, the better camera and longer battery life. Personally, however, like the 4: 3 format of the Odys better than the 16: 9 format of Acer. I use the part mainly for browsing and reading and there is 4: 3 in my opinion, more enjoyable. Newspapers in PDF format can be super read, if you have Adobe Reader, everything runs smoothly and quickly. Photos look really fun and also at the videos Odys reads all formats easily. The display (with, incidentally, the same resolution as the i-pad 2) is light and strong, has natural colors and sharp, not schliert and appears in a direct comparison with the Acer slightly reddish, but this is because the Acer display a unique blue cast has. The slightly higher resolution of the Acer falls also in direct comparison to hardly.
From the appearance convinces the Odys, it has the dimensions of his Appel-prototype, but is slightly thicker. Very pleasant is the Alurückseite, pity, however, that the edge is kept black and not silver, thus it would look even higher quality. The Acer is thicker than the Odys, looks despite plastic back also very valuable, but has this same 16: 9 aspect ratio.
Overall, the Odys Noon is a very pleasant, quick and convincing Tab at an unbeatable price, but without GPS. I'll keep it and return the Acer.
