Javais spotted this book on social networks and on various sites at the time of VO output, and I immediately fell in love with his resume and in what readers said. I could only get it once the VF output.
Dublin Street's moon these contemporary songs that draw strength from introspection of the characters in the action. The story focuses indeed mainly on the emotions, the feelings of the young heroine, through the use of the first person and the intimate thoughts that it makes us share. You really get the impression sometimes what caters to us directly.
Joss (Jocelyne), down from its 22 years has experienced many misfortunes that lont rendered distant and unresponsive, apparently. Having lost her parents and her little sister lorsquelle was 14, his world will sécrouler around her and she'll build a huge fortress that will protect her and her heart. Its survival depends on one thing: stay as loose as possible and nOpen his heart to anyone at risk can still losing loved ones.
His encounter with Braden Carmichael will change all that and gradually it will manage to dig a hole in the fortress which does not itself realizes it and access its most hidden thoughts.
"Fortress". You noticed? Twice as jOperation that word. And why? I can not but draw a parallel with the historical romances that jaffectionne particularly those with Highlanders. And while the Highlander Braden sexy and domineering of modern times. It is Scottish, big, strong, handsome (in his way), intimidating and jen pass. His determination to make Joss its property and to achieve Sopen gradually are all things that make him a perfect modern hero in the character directly inherited from his ancestors. Braden this is "the human version of a nuclear bomb sexual radiation" dixit Joss! Joss poor, this is not a fortress but an impenetrable dome which should have been erected! And yet, it would have ended up finding a flaw.
The story of love at how passionate is going to develop between the two hero is perfectly controlled by lauteure. It is gradual, and even if Braden leaves nothing to hide its real intentions simmisce it slowly in the Joss life without what not realize sen and it will lobliger to Sopen more to others. And that's the greatest fear of Joss Sopen and lose again what people like. She wears a real suffering in it, and the pain and grief lont scored deep into his flesh. Therefore, there is a heroine who has trouble talking with others who never shows his emotions and hate effusions of all kinds. It's simple between outspoken (with a rather coarse vocabulary sometimes) and its expression as comely as that of a bulldog, it is just great. Jai loved his scathing rejoinders his verbal jousts with Braden and tender lorsquelle modesty is excited or happy.
With such passionate natures as those of these two characters, the loving reconciliation can not be quexplosif! Always guided by their instincts, Braden and Joss will live together a few times inflamed. The sex scenes are not dun unbridled eroticism (javais understand the opposite) but dune certain sensuality. They are quite insatiable apart from one another and their hormones decide just for them.
The book is also packed with humor. Jai laughed and some passages are really hilarious, especially due to the fact that lon sy does not wait. And the reactions of the characters in these moments are perfect just. It's really refreshing to laugh in a story that's still more oriented towards more dramatic emotions.
The secondary characters are not left out either, and I have loved the complicated relationship between Ellie and tender (the roommate Joss and half-sister Braden) and Adam (the best friend of Braden). Involuntary witness of this repressed passion, Joss will accompany his girlfriend in his choices without ever dictate his conduct or the judge. Ellie is lopposée at any point of Joss and yet these two come together a lot of love in their respective histories.
Modern romance takes us from laughter to tears, tells a moving story in what grief can be more difficult to bear and offers of seduction and sensuality made in Scotland!
