The grid is perfectly fine, except for the fact that the side extensible parts can not be fixed. A non-behaved dog could become self-employed in the car there before. Second drawback is the vertical bars, the lower ends (as seen on the picture) free protrude into the luggage compartment, which could possibly mean a risk of injury to the dog. But now to my actual knock-out criterion - the holder: Yes, the grid may be firmly attached. However, this will need an Allen key and a few fiddly adjustments. This is feasible, but would be much more elegant and above all faster solved by use of other parts. When the grid is once fixed, all is well as long as you do not have to expand again to fold the rear seats (happens to me more frequently). After all the action goes namely from the beginning. Who lets the grid permanently in his car, where it can be no matter. Personally, I have, however, opted for a more expensive competitor, which I switched on within a few seconds and can expand.
