The artist couple Laura and Jack spends a few days in the rural village Brenzett. There Like so much that they decide to escape from the urban life in London and not to move there. When Asking around finding an ancient chapel where there are two life-sized marble statues. But soon they learn that eerie stories have grown up around the building
Two stories of author Edith Nesbit are in the 74th episode of the horrors of the house Titania media implemented independent of each other, but cleverly linked together: protagonist Laura is the author of horror stories and reads her latest work her husband Jack before that thus proper of the plot is enclosed. In her it is about two young students who bet to spend a night in a museum that is very exciting, very scary and is implemented in a dramatic end to the climax. If only this slide can inspire, but also the real action to Laura and Jack is one of the better episodes of the fantastic series. At first everything seems back in an idyllic, peaceful, in the course of time the first eerie elements come under that increase with the passage of time more and more and ends in a threatening, stunning finale that very intensively linked past and present. These are also the two protagonists who can convince with their fresh style. Again wonderful, what has been done here, a result that will surely end up more often in my players.
Brigitte Kollecker-Frank is here to listen as Laura, who speaks a little unconventional, looser and more spontaneous than most of her colleagues and very positive really stand out for its unusual way of speaking. As narrator of the story within the story, it also provides incredible tension and proves that they also may withdraw itself entirely. Wolfgang Rüter embarks on her unclenched Art, together they form a really strong team that can play in the final scene the horror very well. Bene Gutjan and Tim Black Meier act in the second story also very recorded and enhance the mood with their intense voices. Other speakers include Beatrice Richter, Rolf Berg and Julia Stoepel.
A very special atmosphere also adheres to this episode, wherein the backbone of the series with the atmospheric musical sounds and realistic sound is naturally retained. Small, new standards are set in particular in the highlights of the two stories in which the intense mood is even more effective and keeps the listener completely trapped.
The two grave times of marble at the center of history, and of course it also decorate the cover to the sequence, framed by the still wonderful pillar design on the edge. In the early Church, illuminated by sunlight, but still gloomy diffuse a very lofty and somewhat pathetic cover that does not miss its effect on the viewer.
Conclusion: Two stories, one short and sweet, the other with two very successful main characters (which is also thanks to the speakers) and a very somber mood wonderful!
