Gunslingers and good riffs

Volbeat are from Denmark and have a very ambivalent musical group that can be assigned to the heavy metal mainly. However, one says "Elvis metal" to do so. Why? Well, quite Sipel: because it's heavy metal and the singer quite reminiscent of Elvis Presley. And yes, I'm sure, when Elvis was still alive, he would now make music ;-)

Volbeat connect to virtually any disk cleverly different styles of music together. This ranges from rock and metal to blues, country through to Punk.
Overall, the music is very melodic and catchy choruses is its backbone.

After the last panel - Beyond Hell / Above Heaven - I was curious to see if Volbeat my heart would be able to recapture, I found said plate but slightly weaker than the other, although were also their extremely good songs such as "Heaven Nor Hell". or "traps".

But let's go down to business.
Outlaw Gentlemen is a disc with which I indeed had to be warm, but what was happening much faster than with other plates that have the ear only have to develop.

Title no. 1: Let's Shake Some Dust
As the name suggests, are only once dropped a few notes here precisely. It is a kind of intro that but tracing a path. It sounds like a Western and Country. And this style keeps popping up thematically on some songs. This is characteristic of Volbeat - the last record was more punk / hardcore moderately, another turn, attributed more to the blues. But all slices are limited to never entirely on a theme.

Title no. 2: Pearl Heart
A very solid Volbeat song with a perhaps rather weak hangers and weak verse, but MTI catchy chorus. Solid, nothing really that stuck.

Title no. 3: The Nameless One
Here it is the first time right "volbeatig". A catchy verse and a much better bridge and a great chorus. Rüpelhaft metallig and very melodic, so you like it !! In between classical drama in the minor component that rips a from the major. A very classical Volbeat song.

Title no. 4: Dead But Rising
There bludgeons at the beginning and you will briefly recalls the death metal roots of the singer. It follows a beautiful reef, here real Metal is practiced. The song is harder. And then again, as we know it and appreciate, are shaken off the metal and provide a beautiful melody. A catchy song, but it does not remain necessarily depend same.

Title no. 5: Cape Of Our Hero
Begins in minor, makes a sad hint. The song is taken from the lead guitar. A very nice quasi-ballad that has a very catchy theme.

Title no. 6: Room 24
Here acts with King Diamond on vocals. The song starts hard and fast. Overall, one of the weaker songs without memorable lines, with a pinch of Thrash Metal. Nothing exciting.

Title no. 7: The Hangman's Body Count
Here we encounter for the first time again (in very delicate way) the country theme, which is shaken off quickly but of a classic metal riff. The song is fast, the verse ragged, the Bridge "chubby", the Refraint remains rather pale. More so, a "run-stop-way-song".

Title no. 8: My Body
The beginning of the song is almost a little pop-heavy. A real summer feel-good song in my eyes, at least from the initial issue forth. Is very worn by the singer's voice; My Body proposes to calmer tones, tearing one a little out of the harder and schwermüteren pace of the album, which prevailed so far.

Title no. 9: Lola Montez
Right at the beginning there is a pretty melody, then a brisk, cheerful guitar solo. Here again is the good mood at work. A very catchy song, which invites equal to toe-tapping.

Title no. 10: Black Bart
Here it comes again quickly to the point, the song has punk elements at the start. The verse is pretty boring in my eyes. And the rest is pale. Since it uses nothing to loosen the strumming with a delicate blues Line shortly.

Title no. 11: Lonesome Rider
My personal favorite on this board. He begins with a kind of rockabilly-country-verse. It sings Sarah Blackwood with Michael Poulsen duet. The fast Revolver theme always followed by a very melodic chorus, which is a real popular song. Of course, in the middle can not be missing the contemplative melody minor, then to stand right back against the turret. An absolutely great song.

Title 12: The Sinner Is You
Following is a more upbeat major-number again. The Sinner Is You, however, is not necessarily more than one bonus track. A nice tune, but nothing that tears me from the stool. Remains in its structure rather weak and significantly behind Lonesome Rider, Lola Montez and The Nameless One.

Title 13: Doc Holiday
Because again have the country theme. Followed by a hard reef and a stanza with almost hip-hop song. A fast song, a rather hard song, but a very good! Here really goes off the post, but it must be (at least I) get used to it a little. Here could be probably the new guitarist Rob Caggiano (ehem. Anthrax) a little romp ;-) it shows the solo, the pure skin properly. The staccato in the verse is sometime just really cool. And then again Country Bridge ... that fits easily and sounds really new and to diversity. And the solo rocking the cabin ;-) - Heavy- / thrash / Blues Metal at its best.

Title 14: Our Loved Ones
There is a beginning Country- / blue heavy metal ballad goodbye. A beautiful song that the last recovery after Doc Holiday brings with its melody and retrieving in the Volbeat theme. You want the plate now listen again to delve deeper. A beautiful, wearing, melancholy chorus drives a cold tear in the eye. Followed by a slow solo and drives us in nice-sounding highs. A great song !!
