It's pretty much a year ago when I ran out of the theater disappointed. So far I have spared me the video purchase of Episode II ... but at some point "had" it just yet be. This time I tried to make "old" trilogy comparisons to the second part of. And I wondered: what is a speeder Canyon Chase a planet filled city compared to the AT-AT attack on Hoth? Or how breathtakingly fascinating but was the duel of Luke and Darth Vader on Bespin? And now we have a duel in which the good old Yoda looks really ridiculous. It may sound old-fashioned, but controlled in painstaking detail doll liked much better than the digital Yoda me. Technically Episode II is of course perfectly and the acting performances are satisfactory. Ewan McGregor is really great as Obi-Wan and the screening of Boba fat "emergence" is interesting. But what else have we? Almost two and a half hours crammed with digital special effects (sorry, but the old spaceship models have just seen but more realistic ... even if not quite as quickly flew across the canvas), rather carelessly drawn characters and countless scenes which in my opinion, with the old Star Wars -feeling have nothing more to do. The fight in the arena is certainly nice to look at, but has something really in a Star Wars movie? Similarly, the "oh-so-funny" droids scene on the production line. It's sad to see how the seriousness of old movies had to do a trivial slapstick cinema space. Episode I has then not voted me happy, but there were scenes in which the old Star Wars magic again revived. There were imaginative characters and some nice references to the trilogy. In Episode II was apparently for no more space. Strong characters, outlandish spaceships and a unique blend of power, magic and wit and wonderfully designed worlds and appropriate musical interpretations - this has the old Star Wars Trilogy excellent. In Episode II is, unfortunately, nothing to see - obviously George Lucas probably keen to turn Pop Corn cinema without draft rather than provide a worthy staged history the Star Wars friends. It goes without saying that it would have been impossible to beat the old trilogy. For this purpose also the cinema of the past 25 years has changed too much. But please, had to Episode II for the same turn out so bad and inconsequential?
