Soul Legends Marvin Gaye (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Marvin Gaye was made famous as many other artists of Motown hit factory Sechtziger from. First, because of its velvety timbre positioned rather than schnulziger singer, he made it with his album "What's Going On" on Mount Olympus. War Soul previously content banal, like the Supremes, or sexgetränkt so joined Gaye music with flaming political messages about discrimination, pollution and violence. Suddenly Soul more than just pleasing was - he was socially relevant.
As with the entire Soul Legends series even here, the goal was more than just the big hits to string together, as it has previously done countless best-of compilations. So, of course, find the unforgettable pieces "Is not No Mountain High Enough" or "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" - one of the biggest hits of Motown at all.
But there are also rarities and new discoveries. His version of "Sunny" was getting previously hardly, and the Jazzmix of "Luck Lucky Me" is rarely played in this form. Here are known and unknown pieces so excellent kombinert as rare. In addition an excellent sound quality.
The beautifully designed booklet completes the total picture. But be careful: this CD is for gateway drug in the great work of a great artist to be - a music that has aged a single day.
