January Ammann heard ever since his role as "Count of Krolock" in the play "Dance of the Vampires" and through his participation in the "Musical Tenors" and at the Levay / Kunze Gala "I belong only to me" to the musical top stars in recent years and so his solo CD has been eagerly awaited.

It bears the simple title "Musical". A name that program is because the CD reflects his musical pean career again.

I'm still (still) not really conclusive as to what to make of this division.
So great it is, finally, a CD recording of him as Vampirgrafen- or a reminder of the "I belong only to me - Gala" to have on record ... Somehow the CD seems a bit uninspired by this juxtaposition.
This is not to make the vocal quality in question. But one has half a shot of the "Dance of the Vampires", a half recording of the "I belong only to me gala" and an encore, then shots of other cast-CDs.
Personally, I would have found it more beautiful when you have both brought out the full CDs and Jans solo CD maybe a little more value would put on her own pieces that are certainly present yes (keyword: Torn Picture). So right euphoria does not want to adjust with me why. That may perhaps go many different, who have not seen the show.

Here in January proves once again what a fantastic singer he is and that there is probably no better Krolock by Steve Barton. In the other roles (eg as a death in Elizabeth or as Maxim deWinter in Rebecca) I like him well. Ludwig²'s just not my musical, still sung fantastic. No Question!
Duet partner:
My highlight of the CD is very clear: Sabrina Weckerlin !!!! Since the Vienna Original Cast Recording I have no so strong "Sarah" is one more! Why, one wonders, this role is always occupied with relatively weak little voice, when there are so-voiced actresses Sabrina ?!
The other duet partners make a good impression. Guest soloist Sascha Kurth was there even at the Gala and convinced me already there - why did he but own solo gets on the solo CD of another, does not want me really in his head. His "For Sarah" is not the worst - with me Dennis Jankowiak has a little more confident in recent vampire visit.
Kristin Hölck is not my case. Have you seen multiple live and can only repeat myself: Every sound, good performance, which however just do not touch me. What it may always be. The duet with Darius Merstein however, is absolutely my case - from "The Way" I get every time a catchy tune, even if the song is not new aufgenommen-, but 1: 1 has been taken over from the Pompeii cast CD.
Conclusion:
Who likes January Ammann, for this CD is definitely a must! It remains to be seen whether the CD skillful would be compiled können.Da would certainly have been possible, but it's nice to finally have more to Jan in Regal. He is a great singer and performer.
