All batteries are pre-charged, but only half full. I recommend before use so the battery with 1/3 amperage capacity to load, so set about 250 mAh charger. For me, the charger showed after 400 mAh "full", which corresponds with my setting of 200 mAh two hours charging time. So far I am very satisfied, the 5 star of course just a short-term rating. But I am confident because of the many positive reviews.
