The book is written in a good and in my opinion easy to understand English. Certainly not for absolute beginners, but anyone who has read English books in the past, should, with "Brilliance" have terms of language no problem. The cover design of the book by the way appealed to me very positive from the outset. There is tension and danger, both fit the contents of the book.
Protagonist of the book is an employee of a special intelligence that only cares about the brilliant people, or chasing, houses in certain institutions and kill them if necessary without batting an eyelid. So at least it has handled in the past, Nick Cooper. Nick is even equipped with a certain talent and takes advantage of this to make a little safer around the world, at least he thought this the last few years. But the death of a "brilliants", political changes, happening in his family and meeting with other "brilliants" can begin Nick to doubt whether he creates really safer, or at least is only a pawn in a deadly behind exaggerated game.
Mir was great fun Nick accompany it on his fascinating journey to learn more about the "brilliants" and the political games. It exciting to see what, began to understand how Nick bit by bit, that nothing is as it seems at first glance. Nick is an interesting character and a good protagonist. It takes him from his role, he seems authentic and real. The events is involved in the Nick, seem logically and realistically over large parts of the book. Some developments towards the end of the book, however, were not quite logical and not always logical to explain the experienced to date on the "brilliants". As this logic weaknesses but were limited, I could live quite well with them. At the end of the book just the big showdown was at the center since had to give some logic at a few points.
Except for the small weaknesses at the end of the book has made me "Brilliance" a lot of fun, and made me fascinated to think. After all the events in "Brilliance" can be partly alarmingly easily transferred to our own society. The book is also the first in a trilogy, and the author has been revealed that there will be no easier for Nick, his family and the entire society in part two. I'm curious to see how it will go on and forgive 4 stars at "Brilliance".
